  • shrove Tuesday

Shrove Tuesday is the day before Lent, and marks a 40 day period of fasting, just as Jesus fasted in the desert.   Its a time for self-examination, of what wrongs we need to repent, and what amendments of life or areas of spiritual growth we need to ask for God's help.  Tuesday Feb 13:  4:30 - 6:00 pm

  • Ash Wednesday  A holy day of prayer and fasting and marks the first day of Lent.

By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”  Genesis 3:19     Wednesday, Feb 14:  11:30 am

  • Lent  commemorates the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the desert and enduring temptation by satan

But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Ezra 8:23
