Christ Lutheran Church is

 In October hundreds of brave soles walked in the very cold rain for the Harvest Hunger Walk.   Some walked and raised pledge money while others helped along the walk route.   Donations support local and national food banks, including the food bank in Sharon that supports our Emergency Food Pantry. 

This annual effort begins at Christ Lutheran Church, the first Sunday in October, October 2, 2011 at 2 p.m.

In 2010 the walk raised $9,983.25 for local and world hunger relief efforts.  Christ Church raised the 2nd highest total of $1717 surpassed only bySt. Jude.  Perhaps this is the year we can take the lead.  See Pastor Ron for a Sponsor Sheet or to make a donation.  This year 75% of the funds raised will stay in the Valley.  We will need “checkers” the day of the event.  Please See Pastor Ron to help.
