Lutheran World Relief Coffee, Tea, Cocoa and Chocolate Project
Through the LWR Fair Trade Project, members of our congregation purchase coffee, tea, and cocoa, which supports small-scale farmers in Latin America, Africa, and Asia as they build a better future for themselves and their families. Through this project, farmers earn a fair price for their products, have access to affordable credit, and gain a long-term trading partner they can trust. With support, these farming communities invest in education, health care, and agricultural improvements.
In addition, for each pound of coffee, tea, or cocoa purchased through the project, a contributionis made to the LWR “Small Farmer Fund” for projects supporting small farmers and their families. By choosing fair trade products, you ensure that farmers earn the income they need to feed their families, educate their children, receive medical care and improve their communities.
