Meals on Wheels
Christ Lutheran Church is an enthusiastic supporter and participant in the Meals on Wheels program in the Shenango Valley. The Meals on Wheels program was started by members of Christ Lutheran Church in 1970.
The program started with three clients. The Shenango Valley Meals on Wheels is incorporated and now serves about one hundred and sixty clients daily although it has served as many as two hundred people in the past. The program serves people that live within 10 miles of the church and are unable to shop for or to prepare meals for themselves. The service charges a nominal fee for the meals. The lifeblood of the program is our volunteers who work in the kitchen and those that deliver the meals to our clients.

Ruth Brutt, a long time member of Christ Lutheran Church, has been involved in the program from the beginning and is the director.
