A Season of Hope, Preparation, and Joy
Advent is the four-week season leading up to Christmas. The word Advent means “coming” or “arrival.”
During Advent, we prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and look forward with hope to His promised return.
Hope — God promised a Savior, and He kept His promise.
Peace — Jesus came to bring peace and reconciliation with God.
Joy — We celebrate the good news that Jesus has come.
Love — God showed His great love for us by sending His Son.
Advent reminds us to slow down, make room for Jesus, and remember what Christmas is truly about.
“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.”
— Isaiah 9:2
“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
— Luke 2:11
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
— John 1:5
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him.”
— Romans 15:13
Advent is more than counting down to Christmas. It is a time to wait, worship, remember, and hope.
Jesus has come.
Jesus is with us.
Jesus will come again.
May this Advent season draw us closer to Christ and fill our hearts with hope, peace, joy, and love.
