A Season of Repentance, Reflection, and Grace
Lent is the season of 40 days leading up to Easter, beginning with Ash Wednesday. It is a time for Christians to slow down, turn our hearts toward God, and reflect on the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus.
During Lent, we remember our need for God's grace and look with hope toward the cross, where Christ gave Himself for the forgiveness of our sins.
Repentance — We turn away from sin and turn toward God, trusting in His mercy.
Grace — We remember that God's forgiveness is a gift, given to us through Jesus Christ.
The Cross — We reflect on Jesus' suffering and His sacrifice for us.
Hope — Even in a season of reflection and sorrow, we look forward to the joy of Christ's resurrection.
“Return to me with all your heart.”
— Joel 2:12
“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
— Psalm 51:10
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son.”
— John 3:16
“He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross.”
— 1 Peter 2:24
Lent invites us to pause, reflect, and remember the depth of God's love for us.
We do not walk through Lent trying to earn God's forgiveness. We walk toward the cross trusting in the forgiveness Christ has already won for us.
We repent.
We remember.
We receive God's grace.
We look toward Easter.
May this Lenten season draw us closer to Christ and deepen our understanding of His love, mercy, and sacrifice. ✝️
